We chose Suite Scheduler to provide an electronic schedule and not rely on all the paper(s) for schedule development and maintain it updated for current assignments. Suite Scheduler provides one updated schedule that is accessible to staff and employees.  We are a private community hospital with several specialties. Suite Scheduler is used throughout nursing and 3 departments outside of nursing.

Processes have changes with access to one correct schedule instead of multiple paper copies is a great improvement.  We have saved time because trades and requests are more conveniently managed with Suite Scheduler.  Suite Scheduler’s impact is because it keeps all information you need (including staff requests/preferences) to put out the schedule at your fingertips.  Staff like being able to access their scheduler from home and submit requests and trades from home or from work.  Suite Scheduler is very easy to work with.

Suite Scheduler has streamlined the scheduling creation process.  All the information needed to create a schedule is within the program.  It has also provided a system that decreases the need to continually print off schedules for managers, allows staff to request leave time with date and time of request specified on system, and allows various supervisors to check staff schedules and run reports as necessary. It takes less time to create and post schedules, managers do not have to wait for Scheduling Supervisor to provide attendance/tardy reports since they are able to run the reports themselves, managers can check vacation requests so staff can choose a day(s) that has not been already requested.

Lake Region Healthcare started to use Suite Scheduler software for scheduling 350 employees in 13 departments in 2004. More recently we have expanded Suite Scheduler to the Dietary Department. I am able to put accurate and complete schedules together in a timely fashion. My job would require more time scheduling employees if I didn’t have Suite Scheduler!

We are a 100 bed acute care hospital with a clinic. Initially schedules were de-centralized and now we have moved to a centralized schedule and the staffing coordinator creates the schedule for multiple nursing departments. I have had few issues and rarely need to contact Suite Scheduler. The following info was received from Kathy Lehn – Former Staffing

Coordinator reported who was present with implementation: “The custom daily assignment sheet takes 5 minutes now and was previously compared to about ½-1 hour. The time to create schedules and manually working with the schedule took 612 hours. Our goal is to reduce that by at least 90% and we accomplished that.” “Before we had this software, it was time consuming to print the Department Schedules, there was a lot of stress due to manual counting and last minute changes. When I do contact Suite Scheduler – they are very good about taking any calls, answering questions even on a Friday at 4:00p. Suite Scheduler is very receptive to enhancement requests. In fact, the most recent update had several enhancements included from my list. Suite Scheduler is great about taking suggestions and making them happen.”

Suite scheduler has made a huge impact at our facility in terms of ability to run reports, centralized schedules for all depts., and time savings in creating schedules. We have streamlined our processes and simplified staffing. Our transfer coordinators now have the ability to see all schedules and all staff to make appropriate changes to the staffing profiles each day. Suite Scheduler is always quick to respond when I have a question or issue.
